In 1990 there weren’t that many Dutch expats in Singapore and most of them used to meet up at the Hollandse Club. The idea of a business club was formalized at the Registry of Societies on October 12, 1990 under the name Association of Dutch Businessmen. The name was changed later to Association of Dutch Business people.
At present the ADB counts approximately 450 individual members rather than companies. With a dedicated board and several committees, we organize regular networking events for our members; ranging from lectures and company visits to popular social events such as informal get-togethers and the annual ADB Party.
The ADB has strong ties with various government institutions and with other business associations and chambers of commerce in Singapore. In addition, the ADB maintains close links with the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in Singapore. Through this network, the ADB offers a true platform for the Dutch business community and has become a fundamental part of the larger Singapore business community for more than 25 years!
